UK Rallies are events throughout the year, open to fully road legal motorcycles and are especially suitable for trail bikes. They are usually held in large open forests with plenty of fire roads and easy going whatever the weather! The courses are not too technical, but are still challenging and are designed to encourage new riders into the sport.
The atmosphere is very friendly and less competitive than Enduros or Hare and Hounds so all in all they are excellent “first events”
Adventure Riding Academy/Desert Rose Racing have supported these events for the last three years and for 2017 we are joining forces with the organisers of the “All Terrain Rally Challenge”, RallyMoto Ltd, to really push rallying in the UK.
We will be attending as many of these events as possible, to offer newcomers a range of services from us. These will include: bike rental (on one of our school bikes) and assistance at the events (for more information please email us)

DRR HARE & HOUNDS HIGHLIGHTS
Here at Desert Rose, we want to offer friendly, well run, ‘open to all’ events, with an excellent well laid out track, offering exciting racing for all levels of rider.
Set in the heart of the Sussex Country side the venue offers riders, woodland, open fields and options of ‘extreme’ and easy sections’.
This way riders who want top results will have shorter but challenging sections to cross and those who just simply want to enjoy the ride will be able to take the longer but easier route round.
The ‘extreme’ sections will be either man- made or natural…….
The events will be run under ORPA (OFF ROADPROMOTERS ASSOCIATION) Day licenses can be purchased.
There are classes for all : EXPERT, CLUBMAN, SPORTSMAN, BEGINNERS,OVER 50’S, OVER 40’S OVER 575CC MACHINES, YOUTH (16+) and LADIES.
There will be trophies down to third place in each class, given out on the day of the race.
The race will run over three hours, starting each time at 11am, a sighting lap will be given.
For the fore-see able future there will be no tyre restrictions.
Scoring will be done by computer and backed up by whole punch system. We will always try and get the results done and prizes awarded within 45 minutes of the race ending
The off road scene in the UK is constantly loosing venues all the time, mostly due to noise problems. For all the events and practice days that Desert Rose holds there will be VERY STRICT NOISE limit of 94DB.
Unfortunately any rider’s machine that fails to comply with this
WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE ALLOWED TO START.
We are not looking to upset riders, just keep venues, so ALL can keep riding off road
